Welcome to Millie's
This is our home which we refurbished in 2022 and have sought to equip to a high standard to provide comfortable accommodation for couples and families. For guests with an electric vehicle, EV charging is available. Millie's is situated in a quiet lane in a peaceful area of the Ironbridge Gorge that is within easy reach of the town, which is widely regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridge itself was built in 1779 and holds a prominent position in the centre of the town, from which there is easy access to any one of the eleven museums in the area. The town offers guests plenty of choice when it comes to dining out, with many bars, shops and restaurants as well as a number of takeaways to enjoy.
There are many places to enjoy within easy reach. Visitor attractions include Severn Valley Railway, RAF Cosford, Ironbridge Gorge Museum, The historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth are all within easy driving distance, as are National Trust properties such as Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Attingham Park. The town of Ludlow which hosts a wonderful food festival and is home to the stunning Ludlow Castle and is set just under a hours drive away.
This is walking and cycling country and the cottage is a very short distance from the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with Brown Clee close by. Within easy reach is Wyre Forest, Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge. There is private parking for two cars to the rear of the property accessed via a lane by the side of the property, also included is an electric car charging point. There is a pretty front garden and an enclosed rear courtyard which includes garden furniture and a patio seating area. The nearest pub and restaurant is ¼ mile
